Specially designed for insertion in a non-stop feeding chain at the input end of the machine, this press, of an
original design, permits a maximum reduction of dead time in joining.The particularity of this equipment is that it makes a weld between the end of the running product and the new roll in an unnoticeable length of
time. While the product rolls through the upper part of the press, the operator can prepare the extremity of the new roll on the cold plate present at eye level and put into place the phenolic ribbon used for welding.
The welds thus made can support practically all the usual temperatures of the processes and resist most chemical products. The perfect repartition of pressure across the total surface of the welding ribbon plus a
very precise control of temperature permit us to guarantee a weld that is perfectly;
Technical Characteristics
- Standard table 2200mm (other values on option). - Hot plate in upper position. (2100mm from ground). - Displacement of the hot plate 150mm. - High pressure 3 daN/cm3.
- Power controlled by electronic regulation with Th probe. - Finishing fabric cut by traversal movement rotating cutter. - Cold plate low at 1100mm from ground. -
Optional drive mechanisms:
- Prepared fabric held by depression (venturi) by clips, by studs, etc. - Mechanism which permits joints with minimum overlap (or even 0) on one or the other sides of the weld. A technique that is
strongly advised before coating machines in general and with scrapers in particular. - Mechanism for waste reduction (pieces of fabric trapped between the carton mandrel and the cutting).
- The cold plate can be mounted into standby position (at 100mm from currently moving fabric). - Positioning of the toggle links to insure support of the cold plate during high pressure of gluing.
- Delay setting for gluing time (ex. fibreglass fabric of 200 gms/m2 = 20 secs). - Cutting time negligible during welding. - Halt time = welding time. - Standard colour RAL 5002. |
